The Open Debating Society of Afghanistan Organization (ODSAO) participated in discussion on youth participation in elections in Afghanistan on November 4, 2013 on the local television channel TOLO. ODSAO president Nasir Naimee spoke about whether youth can play a positive role or if they are being taken advantage of in the election. The ODSAO provided technical support for the organization of the debate, including inviting member debaters who made up the nearly 300 person audience. The ODSAO is currently negotiating with television channels to consider organizing presidential debates and issue debates involving youth.
