And, in the end, the gubernatorial debate between Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo and his Republican challenger, Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro, was therapeutic in ways, for the candidates for certain and perhaps for the public as well. Cuomo and Molinaro have been taking shots at each other from afar during this campaign and through their surrogates. This time, not even two moderators could keep the two from essentially ignoring the agreed-upon format and directly questioning each other with great and unyielding zeal.
