Dès septembre, Catherine Nayl, la directrice générale adjointe de TF 1 en charge de l'information a donc pris contact avec les principaux états-majors politiques et proposé deux dates pour l'organisation d'un grand débat : les 20 et 27 mars.

Le Conseil Supérieur de l'Audiovisuel n'est pas convaincu par le débat que souhaite organiser TF1. Il demande des garanties.
