On 15th January 2015 the first live presidential debate was broadcast on television all over Uganda. 8 presidential candidates were invited to take part and 7 turned up.

Vendredi soir se tenait le premier débat présidentiel. Un événement unique qui a réuni 7 des 8 candidats à la présidence. Seul le président sortant, Yoweri Museveni ne s'est pas présenté devant le public qui s'était réuni pour l'occasion au grand Serena Hôtel, où était organisé le débat.

The main subplot as preparations continue to take shape remains the possibility of whether President Yoweri Museveni, the presidential flag bearer of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), will attend the debate.
